"I was up at Missouri this last weekend," Green said. "I committed to Nebraska after that visit. Missouri was the last visit I wanted to make and the last comparison to make.
"Nebraska just felt right. My heart felt right there at Nebraska. I just needed to go through the process to make sure that it was the right place for me and it is."
Green's team, San Antonio (Texas) Madison, was having a great year and looking at the possibility of a state title. It was necessary for Green to lockout the distractions.
"I wasn't trying to do a lot of interviews or think about recruiting. I was trying to clear my mind and keep myself focused on the season."
There were four trips in all that Green made before making a decision to become a Cornhusker. Green says that things were just better at Nebraska.
Nebraska has made an effort to not only upgrade the athleticism in the secondary, but physical size and ability. Green fits the mold of what Nebraska was looking for.
"Coach Pelini is looking for physical corners and that is why they were recruiting me. They said that I fit the style of cornerbacks that they want there at Nebraska.
"I like to play in space, like to do man to man and I can also come up and support the run. I can do it all, but I am going up there to Lincoln with an open mind knowing I have a lot to learn."
With football over and done, Green has moved onto indoor track and will also run track in the spring. "I am running indoor track and then outdoor track in the spring. I will workout to get ready to go up to Nebraska as well."
