Losing interest?

The name of Bennie Logan has been a quick-riser on many recruiting boards. Since taking an official visit to Nebraska, Logan has picked up and offer from in-state LSU and it seemed for sure that would be where Logan ended up. That seemed to be the case, but Logan is indicating something else now.

The name of Bennie Logan has quickly become more and more popular. The 6-foot-2.5 and 245-pound Logan from Coushatta (La.) Red River is getting ready for an all-star game at the moment.

"I am doing alright," Logan said. "Things are going good here. It's been raining here. I am in Baton Rouge practicing for an All-Star Game.

"It's not a state game. It's called the Sportsman's Paradise Bowl. I am not sure if it's on television or not. The game is Saturday, January 10."

Since taking the official visit to Nebraska in November, the lid has come off on Logan who is now holding an offer from his dream school, LSU. What are his thoughts now about that offer?

"I can't really say. The way that LSU has been talking to me, I am not really all that interested in them. They are talking about red shirting me.

"That is the first thing that they are saying. They did talk about me coming in and being able to play immediately, but I don't know. I am still sorting through it."

Logan has been concerned on missing on a good situation if the LSU situation isn't all that he wants it to be. He said that he is going to do what's best for him.

"I don't really want to just wait on them while they figure out what to do. If I do that, I might find myself not getting something else and not get anything. I am taking what's best for me, first."

Logan has seen Nebraska and has four other visits set. He isn't sure if he will still take that trip to LSU. As for now, it is scheduled for him to visit Baton Rouge.

"I have been to see Nebraska so far. I am going to see Michigan, Texas Tech and Southern Miss in January. I am supposed to take one to LSU that month too, but it depends."

There are definitely three schools that are recruiting Logan the hardest right now. The pitch that Nebraska has been giving Logan indicates that he could play immediately in Lincoln.

"I would say Nebraska, Michigan and Texas Tech are recruiting me the hardest right now. Nebraska is talking about me playing immediately.

"They are saying that they like me as a defensive end. I have good speed and power and I like to rush the quarterback and apply pressure."
