New OU Recruiting Target?

Will a visit from OU head coach Bob Stoops make Nebraska commitment Andrew Green take a serious look at the Sooners?

The name Andrew Green, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound safety from Madison High in San Antonio, Texas started popping up this afternoon around OU recruiting circles when SoonersIllustrated.com reported that Sooner head coach Bob Stoops would be conducting a visit with the Nebraska Cornhusker commit on Thursday.

Green addressed those rumors on Wednesday evening.

"He is coming down to talk with me tomorrow," Green confirmed. "I guess that they may offer and I will be sitting down and talking with him to hear what he has to say."

The decommitment of Darius Jones (and Steve Williams and Will Ford) may have played a role with the sudden interest from OU, as they now have spot in the recruitng class open for a defensive back.

So would an offer from the Sooners entice Green to switch his commitment from the Huskers?

"I am pretty set on Nebraska," Green stated. "I will most likely stick with my commitment."

Is there anything Stoops could say that could get him to consider an official visit to Soonerland?

"Probably nothing," he admitted. "If they would have com in earlier I would have definitrely been interested, but it is kind of late."

Green did say that he would keep in touch if he did decide to take a closer look at OU.
