Bolden holding Nebraska offer

There is definitely a new style of quarterback that Nebraska seems to be targeting. It might not be all and out athletic quarterbacks that can't throw the ball at all, but it's definitely a more athletic quarterback that is at least as effective of a runner as they are a passer. Robert Bolden is another one of those types of quarterbacks holding a Nebraska offer.

Robert Bolden from Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary Prep and his team came up a little short from making the playoffs last year. The 6-foot-3 and 191-pound Bolden missed the wild card spot this past season.

"Last year we came up a little short," Bolden said. "We went 4-5 and I really don't know what my stats were. We lost in the wild card game.

Bolden is more than a quarterback. He is like an extension of his coaching staff on the field and helps the others around him by the way that he goes out and plays.

"I have good ability and I am a leader on the field. I can make the other players around me better with the way that I play.

"I feel like I can throw the ball well and take off and run as well. I feel like I can do everything at the quarterback position."

Bolden had only been on one trip at the time of this interview, but would like to take some more as new offers seem to keep pouring in for him.

"I have only taken a trip to Northwestern for their junior day and that's it. I would like to take a few more and it just needs to line up with my schedule.

"I would like to go and see all of the schools that are contacting me and that have offered. I would like to know more about all of them."

Nebraska is one of many teams that have tendered an offer to Bolden. He isn't commenting on who he might be favoring and is saying that everything is open as of right now.

"I don't have a short list that I am favoring. I would say that I am considering all of the schools that I have offers from as of right now.

"At this point, I don't really have a specific opinion about any team. I am wide open. Everyone is in the same boat as of right now with me."
