White holding 12 offers

One of the most talented and sought after wide receiver recruits in the state of Texas this year is DeAndrew White from Galena Park (Texas) North Shore. White is a wide receiver that can do it all. If you give him the ball in space, he will make plays. Put the ball up for him, he will come down with it. Throw it deep, he will get it. White is up to 12 offers so far.

DeAndrew White is a great wide receiver recruit from Galena Park (Texas) North Shore. The 5-foot-11 and 165-pound White is busy now with track.

"Yeah, I am running track," White said. "I am running the 4x200, 4x100, 200m, triple jump and long jump. My best 200m is 21.6. I run either the first or third leg on the 4x100."

White is doing a lot of events, but is still finding time to get ready for the fall. He really wanted to work on one area in the off-season the most.

"I am still working out and getting ready for the fall. I am weight lifting. I really wanted to work on my blocking this off-season."

The best thing about White is that he is consistent. You put the ball in his area and he will get it. He is also versatile and plays the slot or flanker.

"I have good hands. I can make plays with the ball in my hands. I can also go up and get the ball. I also have good speed.

"I can do it all. They move me around and put me all over. I would say my favorite pattern is either a screen or the deep ball."

White is currently sitting on a dozen offers. The list of the 12 schools that have offered White is very impressive.

"I have 12 offers. I have offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and a couple of others."

When it comes to his decision, White is looking at education followed then by the team and campus life. "I am looking at the education first. I am then looking at the depth chart on the team and the environment at the school."

White has been to see three schools already and is planning on a return visit to one of those schools. He also has plans to attend a combine in Austin in a few months.

"I have been to see Alabama, Houston and Texas. I am going back to see Alabama for their spring game. I am also going to the All-American combine in July at Austin."

Nebraska might try to exploit the fact that they got a player out of North Shore last year with White. However, White and the Nebraska recruit haven't spoken about the Nebraska offer or about Nebraska in general.

"I know Thaddeus Randle. We haven't really talked about the offer from Nebraska or what his thoughts are about Nebraska. I really don't know a lot about Nebraska. I haven't sat down to think about ay of the schools in particular yet."
