Mitchell Emerging Out of SoCal

Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt cornerback Joshua Mitchell has his first batch of offers in and more could be coming...

Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt cornerback Joshua Mitchell gets to against a pair of top receivers each day in practice, in Tyler Slavin and Austin Hill.

Mitchell is also on the same field as them as a college prospect, with four schools having offered Mitchell.

"He's been offered by San Diego State, Colorado State, Nebraska and UTEP," said his father Mario, an assistant at Roosevelt.

Mitchell has been focusing on track, where he's a part of the Mustangs 4x100m relay team, which is one of the tops in California.

But schools have been coming by the Roosevelt campus to check in on their prospects, which includes Mitchell.

As a junior, Mitchell had 33 tackles and one interception

He's got good bloodlines too, as his brother, Immanuel, signed with Colorado State in February 2009 and father, Mario, played at San Diego State and professionally.
