"Things are going good," Evans said. "We are working out one time a day with the team. We are working on all areas of our game and at being better students and people.
"We have a slogan called ‘A-Game'. It's Attitude, Academics and Athletics. We are concentrating on getting our mind focused in the classroom, right attitude walking the halls and athleticism on the football field."
Evans has been working on a couple of key things this summer. The benefit that Evans might see is that the areas where he wants to improve all seem to be related.
"I have been working on my strength. I have also been working on my burst, working on my speed; I think along with that comes your quickness. I have been spending a lot of time in the weight room."
There has been one unofficial visit already for Evans and he might have taken his second trip already had something not come up. Beyond that second school, there might be a couple of others he would like to see this summer.
After the unofficial visits that Evans might take this summer he says that he already knows of two or three official visits that he would like to go on. What other visits he takes this summer will affect his trips this fall.
"There isn't really a difference between the schools I want to see this summer or on official visits. Schools that I could see this summer I would take unofficial visits to see.
"I would like to use my official visits to see some schools that are a little further away. They are also the schools that I probably wouldn't be able to see this summer anyway."
The Huskers are pitching Evans on the fact that they like him as a cornerback and that they really see him fitting in well in Lincoln. Evans said that the interest from Nebraska has never fallen off.
"Nebraska is still recruiting me pretty heavily. It's Coach Tim Beck from Nebraska that is recruiting me. They have told me that they really like me as a cornerback there and really want me to come to their school."
