"The summer went pretty good," Sasser said. "I wanted to really work on my speed. Just my football field speed and my 40 time.
"I was doing a lot lifting and form running, but we also have a sand pit that we work in to increase our foot speed."
Sasser is a big receiver and will tell you that he can go up and get the jump ball. Sasser says that he can do it all though as a receiver and not to pigeonhole him just into the fade route.
"On jump balls I can go up and get it. I like doing all of the other routes too, actually. I don't really have a favorite route."
Sasser is a 6-foot-4 and 200-pound receiver with 4.6 speed. Sasser had 64 receptions last year to go with 1,250 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Sasser is almost sitting on a double-digitoffer total, but hasn't sat down to really think of his favorites. Sasser does have three pegged for official visits.
"I don't have a list of favorites. I know that I am going to go see Nebraska, Missouri and Kansas on official visits, but I haven't set any dates up yet.
"I have team mates that are at Nebraska and Kansas already and they like it a lot. At Missouri, they have a spread offense too and I just want to check it out."
Sasser is talking about Josh Williams who is now the second string defensive end at Nebraska. Sasser describes their conversations as on and off, but did mention that Williams really likes Lincoln.
"I don't talk to Josh Williams a lot. It's off and on, but we do talk every now and again. He has told me it's real nice there and the people love their football. He loves it there."
