Commit in waiting?

There are two things coming up for Harvey Jackson. The first is a huge showdown with Eisenhower this Saturday and the second is a trip to Nebraska the following weekend. Sugar Land (Texas) Hightower wants to get off on the right foot this season to get back to the state finals this year. Jackson figures to be a big part of that equation for Hightower.

Harvey Jackson has his eyes set on the next two Saturdays. This Saturday Sugar Land (Texas) Hightower takes on Eisenhower in a huge game. Jackson can't wait to get back on the field.

"We get to play Eisenhower this Saturday," Jackson said. "It's going to be something else. It's just a pre-season, out of district game for us.

"I want to help us get back to state this year. I have told myself that I am willing to do whatever it takes for us to do it."

While Jackson is looking forward to this coming Saturday the next Saturday offers another opportunity on his bye week. Jackson will be taking his first and likely last official visit.

"I plan on taking an official visit during our bye week which is next week. I am going to go to Nebraska. I will probably just commit while I am there.

"I am looking for something to catch my eye while I am there and that's when I will know. Nebraska is the best school for me, they are on the rise, they were my first offer and no safeties are committed to them right now."

The Nebraska staff as well as everything else that Jackson mentioned previously seems to have played a factor in Jackson's likely decision. Jackson talked about his recruiting coach.

"Coach Mike Ekeler is my recruiting coach from Nebraska and he's been real cool with me through the process. He really makes me feel good about going to Nebraska."
