Big 12 honor and the first weekly award won by a Husker this season.
, a freshman from Springfield, Ill., averaged 2.91 kills on .273 hitting, 2.45 digs and 0.27 service aces per set in three contests as part of NU's 4-0 week. Werth led the Huskers with a career-high 13 kills while hitting at a .455 clip and tallying nine digs and a pair of aces against UL-Lafayette. She then collected her first career double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs in NU's five-set win at LSU.
Texas setter Ashley Engle and Iowa State libero Ashley Mass won the leagues offensive and defensive weekly honors, respectively. The fifth-ranked Huskers return to action this Thursday night, as they take on Virginia in the Ameritas Players Challenge.
