"I spoke to Coach Ekeler last night," Parker said. "He said that he is going to come out to my school on Monday. He wants to see my school, talk to my coach and see me.
"We can't talk, but I know when he sees me he won't believe it. A lot of people see me on film and say that I look small. I know that he's going to say wow because I am almost 230-pounds right now."
At 230-pounds, one might think that Parker lacks lateral movement, but watch his film and he doesn't. It's one thing that Parker has worked hard on keeping plus putting on size.
"I am big, but I have been working on my lateral movement also on flexibility and getting in coverage. A lot people say that they can see a big difference in my game.
"I am working on getting together some senior film right now and it should be ready tomorrow or something. I feel really good right now and how I have been playing."
Beaufort is off to a good start and so is Parker. If there is a statistical category that Parker hasn't touched then it's not significant. Parker tries to have an impact on everything on the field.
"We are 3-1 right now and I am probably around 50 total tackles on the season, six or seven are for loss, three or four sacks, three forced fumbles, one recovery and an interception.
"Basically I have tried to have an impact in every area of the game. I have something for every stat so I think that I am doing my job on the field."
One thing that should be coming up in discussions with Nebraska going forward is an official visit date. Right now, Parker is just a little busy with the tasks at hand.
"I told him that I am still not ready to set a date yet. I have truly been so busy with practice, regular school, class for the SAT and doing some volunteer work."
