#13 for Huskers

The Nebraska staff had already pulled down commitment #12 from Jay Guy, a four-star defensive tackle, earlier today. Just minutes ago, Guy was joined by another commitment on the weekend. The second commit on the weekend is also a defensive prospect who had to come away impressed with the efforts of the Blackshirt defense last night.

Nebraska has had some recruiting success to match their on the field success this weekend. First it was Jay Guy, a four-star defensive tackle, who committed to Nebraska. And now it's Joshua Mitchell.

"We are still on the visit," Coach Marion Mitchell from Corona (Calif.) Eleanor Roosevelt and also Joshua Mitchell's father said. "I will have call you back, but I can tell you this. Joshua just committed to the Nebraska coaches a bit ago."

This story takes on another interesting wrinkle as Mario Mitchell himself was a heralded recruit out of high school. Nebraska head coach at that time was Tom Osborne and Mr. Mitchell was interested in reconnecting with Coach Osborne on this trip as well.

Big Red Report will bring you the latest on Joshua and any other commitments as they come in.
