"We are 8-1," Malone said. "So we are doing pretty well. This is my last regular season game before the playoffs start.
"I have been playing both ways. I play running back and safety. I have over 40 tackles and have rushed for over 1,000 yards."
"Nebraska was a great time. It's such a great community there. The game atmosphere, the fans and the team were really great."
The Nebraska defense had five interceptions on the night; including a safety that had three of those. Malone is being looked at to play safety at Nebraska and said he could really see himself fitting in the defensive scheme.
"I can see myself playing there. I can see myself going there, working hard and getting my head right and playing there at Nebraska."
Malone gave the trip a very high mark. If there was one bad thing about the trip it didn't have anything to do with Nebraska at all. Malone was really dealing with little sleep all weekend.
"I would say that it was a "9". The best thing about it was the community and their fans. I wish I would have had more time there on my trip.
"I was really tired because I had to play the night before and then get up to catch a flight. I really didn't get a lot of sleep and we were rushing on the trip."
Nebraska received three verbal commitments that weekend, but not from Malone. Malone still wants to take the rest of his visits before committing. The visit to Nebraska really put the Huskers high on his list though.
"I would say that those four plus Nebraska are my favorites and Nebraska is pretty high up there. All of them have offered except for Oregon."
