Lucky number 7

The class of 2010 is literally two, three or four people short of being full for Nebraska, but yet there are seven confirmed visitors as of Wednesday night. Four of these visitors came to light as late as today, three are team mates, with the fourth being confirmed by a coach after a team practice tonight out in California. Who is #7?

There was a thought that Nebraska might be able to get some players in for the last home game of the season which happens to be a night game and is for the Big 12 North title. Up to last night, there were just three set to visit.

It was a good three though, two commits and one highly sought after defensive lineman. Tyler Evans and Tyler Gabbert were the commitments along with Owamagbe Odighizuwa. That number grew substantially though.

Earlier today, Scott Eklund from confirmed that three players from Fort Scott (Kans.) C.C. were set to visit. Those three included Anthony White, Lavonte David and Jermarcus Hardrick. That really put the big surprise on the weekend, but Nebraska wasn't done.

A little later tonight, Coach B.J. Wray from Colton (Calif.) text messaged Big Red Report to let them know that Jonathan Mack would be in for a visit. Colton HS is the same high school as a previous Nebraska visitor, Derrick Malone.

"I thought that it had fallen through," Coach Wray said. "I thought that it did because we start the playoffs this week. He is taking a trip out to Nebraska though this weekend."

A weekend that could put Nebraska even closer to being full as well as a weekend that could seal up a chance to represent the North division in the Big 12 Title Game in Dallas, Texas. Pretty important weekend for the Huskers.
