Florida's Uncommitted: QB's

One recruiting weekend remains before players will have a few days to finalize their college plans. Lets take a closer look at Florida's top uncommitted quarterback prospects.

Heading into the final recruiting weekend of the season, only two two-star or higher quarterbacks remain uncommitted.

Three-star Brion Carnes (Bradenton- Manatee) committed to USF very early in the recruiting process but always kept an open mind. He took an official visit to Nebraska last weekend but they picked up a QB commitment earlier this week and many believe they're out of the running.

Carnes is set to see Western Kentucky this weekend and some believe he'll pull the commitment trigger in their favor by the end of the weekend. The Bulls are trying to hang out and it'll be interesting to see how this one plays out over the next few days.

Three-star C.J. Bennett (Tampa - Alonso) has been one of the state's most productive quarterbacks over the last two seasons and he remains undecided. He committed to Wyoming after their camp over the summer before backing out, stating distance being a negative factor for the Cowboys. He took an official visit to USF last weekend and met with new coach Skip Holtz but the Bulls didn't offer him. He saw Murray State earlier this week and is set to be at South Alabama this weekend. So despite having Division 1 offers, it appears Bennett might end up signing with a 1AA program -- making him arguably the best 1AA signee in the state at the QB position.

Stay tuned, as Scout will continue to monitor the recruitment of both players throughout the weekend and into next week.
