"I committed to Nebraska right after school," Williams said. "I was able to make the call after school with my coach and told Nebraska that I wanted to commit."
Williams just got back to Ohio from being at the spring game this past weekend. Williams said that it was what he saw this weekend that really sealed the deal.
"It was really just the atmosphere that Nebraska had. I really felt like I was at home while I was there. There was no place that I would rather be than at Nebraska."
One other thing that didn't hurt Nebraska's chances this weekend was being able to get in the other commitments for 2011. Williams had a good chance to meet and talk to the other players.
"We really got a chance to hang out and start building the relationship. I got a chance to really talk to and get to know like Jamal Turner. I hung out with him all weekend. I really enjoyed being able to do that."
One thing that seemed to be solidly on the minds of all the visiting recruits this weekend was the direction of the Nebraska program. Williams knows that the Huskers are going in the right direction.
"Without a doubt Nebraska is headed in the right direction. You got a sense of that last season and again at the spring game. There is no doubt I want to be part of that."
One thing that could still pop up is an Ohio State offer. If the Buckeyes were to offer what would that do to Williams and his commitment to Nebraska? "Absolutely nothing; I am a Husker for sure. If I commit to something then I am going to do it."
