"I am in Georgia," Moody said. "I have to get back to Fort Scott on July 5th. I have some time off before I have to get back to school."
Moody's availability and eligibility looks to start the next spring semester at a four year school and when he does he will be a three for three player.
"I redshirted last year and I will be done with school at mid-term; I am done in December. When I leave Fort Scott I will be three for three."
Even after redshirting last year Moody has already picked up his first DI offer. More will be sure to follow, but one team has recognized his potential right now.
"I got an offer from Nebraska. That's it. They are the only school to have offered me so far. Nebraska is the only team that's offered."
There is quite the Nebraska-Fort Scott connection brewing and Moody acknowledged that. More than that, Moody is already familiar with the head coach at Nebraska while he was at another school.
"I talked to Yoshi just the other day on Facebook. He asked me if the coaches had offered me and were on me from Nebraska. I talk to all of those guys."
The linebacker coach at Nebraska has been recruiting Moody and they are projecting Moody to outside backer. While the Huskers are the only offer he has so far Moody is going to be patient with his decision.
"The coach that's recruiting me from Nebraska is Coach Mike Ekeler. They told me that they like me as an outside linebacker for sure.
"I just don't know what to think about the offer yet. I am waiting to see who else comes in and offers. I like the offer from Nebraska, but I would like to get back to Georgia."
Moody knows all of the players that are at or going to Nebraska that are from Fort Scott. However, he says that there are a lot of guys that he knows back in Georgia and that is tough to beat.
"I like all of the guys that are at Nebraska, but it doesn't help me get over being far away from home. I have a lot of friends back in Georgia. It's going to be tough.
"Nebraska could be the best place for me. If I get other offers and none of them are close enough to home and not as good as Nebraska then Nebraska could be the best place for me."
Look for Moody to try and get up to Lincoln a little later this summer and then possibly again in the fall on an official visit. "I am taking a trip up to Nebraska later this summer. I will just go up there to see the guys. I will also see about taking an official visit there later this fall."
