Early Word on Andrew:
Andrew currently carries a 4.0 GPA and scored a 25 on the ACT. That intelligence has carried over onto the field helping make him one of the top prospects in Nebraska for 2003.
"I attended a junior day at Iowa State," Andrew stated. "I had a pretty good time. They informed me they would be watching me over the summer and fall, and would invite me for some football games."
"I attended Iowa's camp last summer, but they did not pay much attention to me. I was the second fastest lineman at camp, running a 4.98, and the fastest guy only weighed around 220."
Did Andrew grow up a particular fan of any school?
"Yeah, I was a fan of Nebraska. It is pretty hard growing up in this state to not be a fan of Nebraska."
Andrew was a victim of an ACL tear midway through his junior season. He is currently rehabbing quickly with an expected full speed return around the start of May.
"My recovery is going well. Unfortunately, I do not know if I'll be able to compete in the Nike Camp's due to my injury, but I will be able to participate in summer camps."
At this time, Andrew plans to attend camps at Nebraska, Iowa State, and Kansas State.
