"I head back to Fort Scott on Monday," Moody said. "I am looking forward to the upcoming season; getting out there and doing what I do.
"I want to help the team come together and play better as a team. I am looking forward to playing this year since I redshirted last year."
Fort Scott finished runner-up to Brenham last year. Moody didn't have a lot of say last year since he redshirted, but he plans on making his mark this season.
"We open up with Brenham in the first game. We play them down there. We want to go there and just try and beat them.
"It's a little different for me than some of the other guys since I didn't play last year. But, I just want my shot at them."
Moody is definitely an exciting linebacker prospect and Nebraska has already realized his potential and offered. Moody wasn't overly thrilled about the Nebraska offer at first, but seems to have changed his opinion somewhat.
"Nebraska was the last offer. I had a few others before Nebraska like Memphis and some other schools. It's still the same though.
"I know that I wanted to get back closer to home, but it's not as big of a deal anymore. I am going to go with what I can get and do what's best for me.
"I am just taking this all one step at a time and there is a lot of time. I haven't spoken to Nebraska in a while, but that's just because I haven't called them."
There are a number of former Fort Scott players up at Nebraska already; Brandon Kinnie, Jermarcus Hardrick, Lavonte David and Stanley Jean-Baptiste; and Moody is going to look for a time to visit Lincoln.
"Yes sir, I am going to try and get up there to see Nebraska either this summer, during fall camp or during the season. I don't know when. I would like to see a game there."
