"The summer is going good," Wilson said. "I really wanted to work on my pass rush moves and staying low. I was also working on running to the ball on every play.
"I would say that I was more of a run stopping defensive end. I really wanted to work more on getting sacks and becoming a little more balanced as a player."
Wilson has been to a camp, a combine and goes next weekend to his first unofficial visit. He has two other trips set up before two a days start for him and his team.
"I went to the camp at Cal in June with the rest of my team. I also went to the Nike training camp and I head up to Oregon next weekend. That is my first unofficial visit. I will also see Arizona and UCLA."
It's a double-digit offer total for Wilson who is holding offers from a lot of big programs. "I have 10 offers right now. They are from Colorado, Colorado State, Washington, Washington State, Arizona, Duke, Nebraska, Utah, New Mexico and San Jose State."
The Nebraska offer isn't like one of the many schools that are geographically closer to where Wilson is from. Still, Wilson knows a lot about Nebraska and their defense mainly because of a special player.
"I know that they have a really good defense. There was Ndamukong Suh that was there last year. They are pretty high on my list considering the rest of my offers.
"Distance doesn't bother me or matter to me a lot. I am looking at academics, playing time possibilities and coaching when it comes to my decision."
Wilson doesn't think that he will be able to get out to see Lincoln this summer, but he does want to see Nebraska. Wilson says that the Huskers will likely be one of his five official visits.
"I think that I might just have to visit them this fall. I spoke with Coach Bo Pelini about visiting and we talked about setting up an official visit to Nebraska.
"I have been emailing Coach Bo. He sent me an email a couple of weeks ago saying he wants to get me out there and I told him that we need to set up an official visit."
Wilson is sitting on 10 offers, but there is something to be said about the effort and the person that is recruiting him from Nebraska. "It's great just getting recruited, but it goes further when the head coach is contacting you and recruiting you."
