Catching Up with the Future Pack - Week Six

We are more than halfway through the season for most high school programs around the country and playoff pictures are starting to form. Several of Nevada's 2014 commits are on teams that appear headed to the post-season. We catch up with each of them to see how their season's are going and how they performed last week.

Drew Celis - WR - Marin Catholic HS - Kentfield, CA
Marin Catholic is 7-0 on the year and shut out Novato 55-0. The Wildcats have outscored their league opponents 209-19 in rout to a 4-0 league record. Drew Celis caught 4 passes for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns. After 7 games, Celis leads the league by a large margin with 28 receptions for 700 yards and 8 touchdowns. He is also a standout on defense for MC and is the 2nd ranked kicker in the league.

Wyatt Demps - WR, S - Pleasant Grove HS - Elk Grove, CA
Pleasant Grove moved to 6-0 on the season with a 63-21 rout of Sacramento Sheldon. Demps had 2 receptions for 126 yard and 1 touchdown as well as 2 tackles on defense and 1 blocked field goal. Demps touchdown reception was a 96 yard catch and run. Demps has 20 receptions for 453 yards and 7 touchdowns on the year.

Hunter Fralick - QB - Spanish Springs HS - Reno, NV
Spanish Springs fell to 3-3 on the year with a 31-21 loss at Reno High School. Fralick was 14-28 for 160 yards and an eye popping 211 yards on 21 carries and 2 touchdowns. On the season, Fralick has thrown for 1353 yards, 8 touchdowns and 1 interception. He's also rushed for 482 yards on 64 carries and 7 touchdowns.

Victor Gonzalez - WR - Norte Vista HS - Riverside, CA
Norte Vista won its fifth straight game with a 48-7 win at Riverside Ramona High School. Gonzalez had 4 receptions for 121 yards. For the season, Victor has 24 receptions for 517 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Jacob Lacaden - OLB - St. Louis School - Honolulu, HI
St. Louis is 6-2 on the season with its only losses being to #1 ranked Punahou 35-32 and Kamehameha 38-17. The Crusaders has a rematch with 2nd ranked Kamehameha in the ILH semi-final this Saturday. Lacaden is considered one of the top defensive backs in the state of Hawai'i.

Kalei Meyer - DT - Kamehameha HS - Honolulu, HI
Kamehameha moved to 8-1 on the year with a 65-0 rout of Honolulu's Damien. The Warriors are the 2nd ranked team in the state of Hawai'i and Meyer is listed as one of the top defensive tackles in the state. Kamehameha takes on Saint Louis in the first round of the ILH playoffs on Saturday.

Matt Moen - TE - Steele HS - Cibolo, TX
Steele HS has won 5 in a row since their opening day 1 point loss to San Antonio's Madison. The Knights beat Corpus Christi King High School 49-20 this past Friday. Moen had 2 receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown. Scout.com's Annabel Stephan stopped by to sing Matt's praises last week and shared a couple of quick highlight videos.

Ahki Muhammad - WR - James Logan HS - Union City, CA
Logan is 5-1 on the season after a 22-14 win over Oakland's Bishop O'Dowd HS; it was the Colts fifth win in a row. Muhammad had a 13 yard touchdown run in the third quarter to push Logan's lead to 22-7. Logan is the 4th ranked team in the East Bay and takes on #1 ranked (#2 in the state) De La Salle this weekend.

Kevin Nutt - RB, CB - Edison HS - Fresno, CA
Ranked #1 in the Central Valley, Edison remained undefeated (6-0) with a 25-7 win over Sanger. Sanger's defense severely limited the rushing duo of Kevin Nutt and Blake Wright but Edison's defense and QB Tyrone Smith's passing won the day for them. Nutt finished with 46 yards on 3 attempts and no touchdowns.

Cliff Porter - DE, OL - Hug HS - Reno, NV
Hug high continues to struggle and remains winless after and 41-6 drubbing at the hands of Reed HS. Porter registered 5 tackles and 1 sack in the loss.

Brandon Scott - TE - Yucaipa HS - Yucaipa, CA
Yucaipa moved to 4-2 on the season with a 42-6 win over visiting Miller HS. Scott finished with 7 receptions for 155 yards and 1 touchdown. For the year, Scott leads Yucaipa in receiving with 747 yards on 28 receptions and 4 touchdowns.

Blake Wright - RB - Edison HS - Fresno, CA
Wright, along with fellow Nevada commit Kevin Nutt, was limited in a tough defensive battle with Sanger. Wright was limited to just 3 yards on 10 carries and no touchdowns. The week before, Wright went off for 105 yards on 18 carries against Clovis West, the week before that he rushed for 228 yards on 11 carries and 2 touchdowns in a win over Crenshaw.
