Catching Up with the Future Pack - Week Seven

The Nevada Wolf Pack staff was out on the recruiting trail during the bye week leading up to the Boise State game and their are indications they got another commitment or two. We're still trying to track down the names of the new commits. The Wolf Pack's group of current commits is heading into the home stretch of their high school football seasons and we catch up with each one of them.

Drew Celis - WR - Marin Catholic HS - Kentfield, CA
Marin Catholic continues to roll through an obviously out matched league with a 41-0 win over Napa, CA Justin-Siena High School. The Wildcats now stand at 8-0 with just two games remaining in the regular season. Multifaceted Celis continued to shine for Marin, kicking field goals, punting, playing defense, returning punts and catching touchdowns with one hand.

Wyatt Demps - WR, S - Pleasant Grove HS - Elk Grove, CA
The Eagles moved to 7-0 on the year with a 46-0 drubbing of Ponderosa High School. Pleasant Grove's ground game was on display as the Eagles racked up 383 yards on 40 carries and only threw the ball 3 times the whole game. Wyatt Demps caught 1 pass for 43 yards. He also had a tackle on defense.

Hunter Fralick - QB - Spanish Springs HS - Reno, NV
Spanish Springs lost their second game in a row with 35-24 loss to McQueen. Hunter Fralick shined again, passing for 213 yards and rushing for 242 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 23 carries. Fralick has passed for 1566 yards on the year with 8 touchdowns to only 1 interception. He's also rushed for 724 yards on 87 carries and 10 touchdowns.

Victor Gonzalez - WR - Norte Vista HS - Riverside, CA
The Braves moved to 6-1 on the season with a 28-21 road win over Moreno Valley High School. Gonzalez had 2 receptions for 28 yards and no touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff and a punt, both for 23 yards.

Jacob Lacaden - OLB - St. Louis School - Honolulu, HI
St. Louis dropped it's final game of the season in the opening round of the ILH playoffs to Kamehameha 34-28. The Crusaders were down 34-21 with about 2 and a half minutes remaining when they scored on a 30 yard screen pass to make it 34-28. They got the ball back with about a minute remaining but a tipped pass and an interception ended the upset bid.

Kalei Meyer - DT - Kamehameha HS - Honolulu, HI
Meyer's Kamehameha squad moved on to the 2nd round of the ILH playoffs with a 34-28 win over league foe St. Louis. Kamehameha built a 34-21 lead late into the 4th quarter and held on for their second win over St. Louis this season. The Warriors take on top ranked and undefeated Punahou, a team that shut them out 24-0 in the regular season.

Matt Moen - TE - Steele HS - Cibolo, TX
Steele High School won its sixth straight game in a rout of South San Antonio 49-7. Moen caught 2 passes for 45 yards and no touchdowns. Matt has 11 receptions for 270 yards receiving on the year and 4 touchdowns.

Ahki Muhammad - WR - James Logan HS - Union City, CA
Logan was routed 49-7 by perennial top program, De La Salle, the #3 team in the state of California. This one was never in doubt as De La Salle jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and Logan managed just 2 1st downs in the 1st half. Special teams' miscues added insult to injury and the rout was on. Logan dropped to 5-2 on the season and looks to get back on track this week with a game against Fremont, CA Washington High School.

Kevin Nutt - RB, CB - Edison HS - Fresno, CA
Edison continued to roll with a 48-7 rout of Madera South. The Tigers jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead and cruised the rest of the way. Six players scored for Edison, including Kevin Nutt on runs of 4 and 26 yards.

Cliff Porter - DE, OL - Hug HS - Reno, NV
Hugo woeful season continued as the Hawks dropped to 0-8 on the season with a 45-7 home loss to Reno High. Porter had 8 tackles in the losing effort.

Brandon Scott - TE - Yucaipa HS - Yucaipa, CA
Yucaipa dropped to 4-3 on the season with a dismal 26-0 loss to Redland East Valley. Scott was Yucaipa's best receiver by far with 7 catches for 87 yards and no touchdowns. Brandon now has 828 yards on 35 receptions for the year and 4 touchdowns.

Blake Wright - RB - Edison HS - Fresno, CA
Edison continued to roll with a 48-7 rout of Madera South. The Tigers jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead and cruised the rest of the way. Six players scored for Edison, including Blake Wright on a 17 yard touchdown run.
