I think NMSU is obviously the better team. My one concern is that fatigue on our part doesn't even the odds. Playing a tough road game on Saturday then try to make a quick turnaround for a Monday home game concerns me; especially with our high energy style. Not a lot of time to reload. Without Ndir, Baker has been playing ironman minutes.
This will also be a concern once we are in the WAC tournament. Our high pressure style fatigues the legs. Trying to play two or three games in consecutive nights takes its' toll. That is why Weir needs all our Aggie bodies. We will need Ndir and Marlon to get healthy for the final push in March.
This will be the 3rd opponent in a row that had more time to rest/prepare for NMSU. UTEP had 6 days or prepare for NMSU, NMSU had 3 days. ASU had 7 days to prepare for NMSU, NMSU had 4 days. UC Irvine last played Wednesday @ Nevada, NMSU played @ ASU on Saturday. If our Aggies can get through tonight's game with a W they are set up nicely to get to conference play at 13-2. Not getting ahead of ourselves but good point looking ahead to WAC tournament in regards to high energy style of play and possibly playing back, to back to back nights. Hopefully NMSU wins regular season title and only has to play back to back nights.
