The aggies will probably lose at Grand Canyon. Instead of being so concerned about RPI, fans should look to winning the WAC Tournament.Fans need to go and support the team at the Tournament
For once I agree with feed on this. Need home crowd feel. Bakersfield going to send more fans this year. We need a good showing
Home crowd in Vegas is important, but winning out is important too. If Csub can maintain the top100 RPI, this loss is not bad, could be vindicated in the champ game, and we could still see a 13. 13 vs 14/15 is the difference between a beatable team like Florida or getting our doors blown off by Oregon.
i am horrifically terrified of an internet bully. Just think, posters are being threatened with lawsuits,Hola Mesilla, and posters are musing about trying to whip people , Some people s kids. The characters on these boards are unbelievable . if you can t stand the heat ,get out of the kitchen.
Tonight's GCU game is pivotal in order for NMSU to hold on to the #1 seed in the WAC Tournament. If NMSU wins, RPI is very important as a tie breaker. If NMSU loses they are "probably" playing on Thursday (3 games) as a #2 seed in the WAC Tournament. With a loss to GCU tonight, CSUB would need to lose two more games in order for NMSU to have the #1 seed again. That's why CSUB's squeaker over GCU last week was a very important outcome for Aggie fans.

 Two-Way Tie:
[i] The winner of the head-to-head competition is the higher seed.
[ii] If the tie is for first place, compare the tied teams’ records against the next highest finishing team and continue through the standings. The team with the best record/winning percentage against the next highest finishing team(s) or group of tied teams that the tied teams have played the same amount of times shall receive the higher seed. If the tie is for any position other than first place, the comparison shall begin at the top of the standings.
[iii] If a tie still remains, the institution with the highest RPI at the conclusion of the WAC’s regular season shall receive the higher seed.
Yup, my mistake. It's been corrected. Nevertheless, tonight's game is the toughest one left on their schedule. If they win tonight and their RPI remains better than CSUB's, they should have the #1 seed in the WAC Tournament. If NMSU loses to GCU (them being the 3rd best team), then CSUB will probably get the first round bye; and they will be fresher (with only two games) than NMSU if they happen to meet again in the WAC Tournament. Having a smaller rotation than CSUB, the WAC tournament bye could definitely help NMSU's legs more in a Championship game.
The guru who called for a whipping at the feedlot got his dream full filled,,sort of. It is time for aggie fans to concentrate on the Tournament as this will decide if they go to the Big Dance. It always was and now aggie fans can adjust to the reality of that including the guru to be.
