It will be interesting to see who loses more hair next season, our new coach or our most recent former coach. Big time pressure on both for different reasons.
Paul Weir actually has the most pressure. UNM wants to win now, if they go through a season like UNLV did this past season with Menzies, Loboland won't be happy.
Weir also has the tougher uphill battle to be respectable. The top 2 scorers on that team are gone and he potentially has other departed players to replace. The competition is also slightly better in that league.
The Aggie roster is mostly intact, and unless Jans is a complete goof, he should be able to win immediately.
Lobo fans will not be very patient if they see NMSU winning with a new coach, while they are struggling with our old coach. One thing we don't know about Weir is if he's tough skinned or not. He has never faced any real adversity in the last 10 Yrs.
