At NMSU school is almost out for the current semester (May 12th), and the hazy / lazy days of summer will soon be upon us.
Given the current Men's Basketball roster, who needs to work on what over the summer to help improve their game and therefore the team?
What do they need to work on specifically? Of course getting completely healthy is priority one, but once players are healthy what do they need to work on?
We have seen dramatic over the summer improvements in the past (Eli last year, Hamidu back in the day, Ian Baker from Soph to Junior, Sidy before he was hurt, and various other Aggies over time).
What does Huggins need to work on? Footwork? Defense? Ball Handling? Turnovers? Other?
What about Jemerio Jones? He played great but everyone can improve. What does JJ need to work on?
Eli Chuha? Upper body strength? Other?
Sidy? Just get healthy?
The others? What is the deal? It seems like those teams who put in hard work on improvements over the summer often rise to the NCAA Tourney and make a run at some point.
Or is it better to just relax and rest and float down a lazy river on an innertube? Most players only have 3 summers to work hard and make improvements.
We shall see if any player on the Aggies improves or not? I can't really remember the rules on what Jans and staff can or can't do practice wise, but I hope some workout time at the White Sands dunes are in store for the team. That white sand between your toes seems to really help the conditioning, in my opinion.
Vamos a ver...
