.....Marvelous Marvin Menzies or The Traitor?
Menzies had an empty cupboard when he took over UNLV, but now his his recruits in place ( http://www.foxsports.com/college-basketball/story/unlv-s-menzies-signs-strong-recruiting-class-for-2017-18-042617 )
Meanwhile, The Traitor also had some personnel issues and also ran off several players. He's added to the roster, although it appears his recruiting class is a work in progress.
Menzies is a kinder, gentler soul, for which he is criticized.
The Traitor is a possessed, win-at-all costs*, back stabbing tyrant, for which he is criticized, but sometimes can produce results.
The non-conference schedules haven't been released, but UNLV traditionally plays a tougher schedule. Who win win more games? Who will be more successful in the MWC? Who will get/advance in post season play?
I don't know who will have more success, but I hope it's UNLV.
- Word has it that The Traitor---obsessed with winning---didn't always take care of business, meaning he failed to oversee certain areas of the program for which he is responsible. Nobody will criticize coaches who want to win, but the lack of attention to the program are the type of things that can get a program into trouble (academics, player behavior, etc.). The head coach ultimately is responsible for all aspects of the program. This information adds to the notion that The Traitor is a dick.
