Aggies to be on ESPN 5 Times this year!!!!!

New Mexico State will appear 5 times this season on the Sun Belt Conference/ESPN Regional football television package.

The 2003 New Mexico State football season will feature more televised games than any other in school history.

Five games are currently slated for television this season including a pair of national cable television contests.

The Aggies will play games on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday with the additional eight Saturday contests.

The Aggies' opener against Texas has been moved to Sunday night, August 31 so the game can be televised nationally by Fox Sports Net. Fox Sports Net also televised the last game between these two teams in Austin in 2001.

Two league games have been moved to Thursday to accommodate ESPN Regional. The Aggies will travel to Lafayette, Louisiana to take on the Ragin' Cajuns on Thursday, October 16 and then host Utah State on Thursday, November 6 at Aggie Memorial Stadium. Both games will kickoff at 6:00 p.m. mountain time.

The Aggies will also host Arkansas State in a homecoming game Saturday, November 1 in another ESPN Regional telecast. Kickoff for that contest will be 6:00 p.m.

NMSU will conclude the regular season with the first nationally televised game from Aggie Memorial Stadium when it hosts defending conference champion North Texas on Tuesday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m. on ESPN 2.
