Stephen Brauchle was considered one of the top kickers in the NJCAA and on Tuesday he picked up the hardware to verify his lofty billing. With the 2012 season now over, Brauchle is focused on recruiting and moving ahead to the next level.

"I was named All-State and All-Region," said Brauchle who connected on eight of ten field goals this season. "I just found out today."

The regular season ended 9-2 for the Bulldogs who still may have one more game left.

"I think they are talking about us getting a bowl game, but I get the feeling that Coach Campbell might turn it down," said Brauchle. "Everybody is so disappointed at losing last week."

Gulf Coast fell to Co-Lin in the state title game on Saturday.

"It was a wild game and we had a chance to win at the end," said Brauchle. "I thought we were going to pull it out, but we threw an interception in the endzone."

While the bowl match-ups are still being considered, Brauchle hopes to play in at least one more junior college game.

"I am hoping that I get to play in the All-Star game," said Brauchle. "It might get me some more exposure and I am a kicker, so I am not worried about getting hurt or anything like that."

Once next weekend comes and goes, the talented kicker will take his first official.

"I am going to FIU (Florida International) for my official," said Brauchle. "Coach (Mario) Cristobal was at the game this past week.

"I am looking forward to going down there and seeing everything."
