Senior forward James Moore was named a 2004 first team All-Sun Belt selection, announced by the Sun Belt Conference Thursday afternoon. Moore was named the preseason Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and collects his second first team honor in as many years. Moore is the 38th Aggie to earn first team all-conference honors. "I think this an excellent honor for James and if you look at what he has done this season and through the years you can see that this is a justified honor," head coach Lou Henson said. "He is a tremendous talent and one of the most skilled players I have ever coached. He is an excellent shot blocker, as well as a great shooter from the field and the free throw line. We are very happy for James."

Moore leaves the Aggies ranking in the top-5 in steals (2nd), blocks (1st), points (5th), free throws made (2nd), free throws attempted (2nd), free throw percentage (3rd), field goal percentage (4th), field goals made (5th) and minutes played (5th) for a career. James also ranks in the career top 10 list in field goals attempted (8th).

James is the second player in school history to make 53% of his shots or more in four consecutive years and scored in double figures in 88 games. Through his career, he collected 12 double-doubles, scored over 20 points in a game 25 times, led the Aggies in rebounding 20 times and scoring 37 times. He is also the school recorded holder for every block record except blocks in a season. Moore collected 200 blocks in his four-years with the Aggies.
