The Aggies trailed the Indians (4-6, 2-2) 14-0 when Dombrowski scored on a 29-yard run with 6:41 left in the first half. Marcus Dixon added a 6-yard TD run and Dombrowski threw a short pass to H.B. Briscoe with six seconds left in the half to put New Mexico State in front to stay.
With the Aggies still ahead in the final quarter, 26-14, Arkansas State scored on a 1-yard run by Elliot Jacobs with less than six minutes left in the game. Eric Neihouse's kick was good.
With less than two minutes to go, the Indians had the ball inside the New Mexico State 20, but Jacobs threw an incomplete pass up the middle to turn the ball over on fourth down. The Aggies then ran out the clock.
New Mexico State had 229 yards rushing to Arkansas State's 93. Dombrowski was 16-of-23 for 141. & Jacobs was 18-of-26 for 205 yards for ASU
