Wide Receiver is a hot commodity for the Lobo Football. Two of the best WR's (Marcus Smith, Travis Brown) will be seniors next fall, so the Lobo coaches are scouring the country for the next great UNM wide outs. Today's recruiting focus in on Bradley Haynes from Mansfield Summit HS, Arlington TX. I had a chance to talk with coach Kyle Geller about his star receiver.
TRM: Coach, what would be an accurate height and weight for Bradley?
Coach Geller: He is 6'3" 200lbs.
TRM: Bradley gave an outstanding showing at the Waco Combine.
Coach Geller: He had a great time over there. He ran about a 4.5 in the 40, and had a 33.0" vertical. Bradley has really blossomed since his freshman year, and I'm excited to see what he does this season.
TRM: So do you have expectations for Bradley this upcoming football season?
Coach Geller: I won't say expectations, but he will be a hand full for opposing secondaries to cover. Bradley has such good work ethic, excellent student, and a great leader out there on the field. Rather than worry about his individual goals, he definitely wants the team to win first.
TRM: Which schools are currently recruiting Bradley? Offers?
This quote came from Bradley in an article by UNT Insider
"I have offers from UTEP, North Texas and now New Mexico," Haynes said. "New Mexico offered me on Monday and I was pretty excited to get that one. Texas A&M, Colorado State and Tulsa are all recruiting me pretty hard too."
Stay tuned to the The Red Menace continuing recruiting information.
