Eye on Recruiting: New Mexico Signs Six

The University of New Mexico received 6 letters of intent from Junior College players as they prepare for this Saturday's New Mexico Bowl.

All day long we have been scouring the internet looking for news of junior college players coming to UNM. Here is a list of the players we know of right now as today was the 1st day for Junior college players to sign and UNM did receive 6 letters of intent today. The incoming players are

 

 

 

 

6-5 260 TE Tim Merrill Fullerton California College

 

 

 

6-4 230 TE Trey Buckley El Camino California Community College

 

In 9 games Trey had 11 receptions for 192 yards and a 17.2 avg. for the former All CIF tight end out of Lakewood HS Calif

 

 

 

6-4 310 OL Sylvester Hatten Dodge City Kansas Community College

 

In 2005 Hatten played in 11 games with Alabama State, Hatten was a contributing factor at Offensive Tackle, posting 42 knockdowns along with giving up only 2 sacks.

 

 

6-4 280 Josh Waller originally committed to Lousville as a defensive linemen

Waller had of Kentucky, Miami of Ohio and Ball State, as well as interest from Colorado, Nebraska, and Duke, to become a Cardinal.

 

6-1 230 LB Jacob Bane Trinity Valley Texas CC

 Louisville was swooping in late to try to woo Bane away from UNM. Bane was named to the 1st team SWJCFC all conference team as he posted 67 tackles and 3 sacks according to Trinity Valley's website.

 

5-10 180 DB Aaron Lenard Cisco Texas

All district 3-5A Midland High 5-10 180 DB Sr.
