Eye On Recruiting: Tyrone Bouie

Tyrone Bouie has been on New Mexico's recruiting screen for awhile now. Last week just solidified that offer.

Coach Locksley and staff are after some of the top talent across the country and last week they held their camp where players from across the country came out to be evaluated by Coach Locksley and the New Mexico staff.

One of those players that came out last week was 6-0 160 Sanford Seminole CB Tyrone Bouie.

Bouie describes himself as a physical cover type corner. Unfortunately, the players were not wearing pads so I wasn't able to see Bouie knock anyone out. I did however watch him work with the coaches on reaction skills, speed drills, vertical leap, etc. etc. etc. and I must say I was very impressed with Bouie's athletic ability.

Now with only a few players working out with coaches at the time it is mostly the player working out for the coaches so they worked them hard and Bouie did end up winded like many of the players that came from low altitude destinations. After a quick catching of air Bouie was out on the field once again running and displaying his talent.

"I enjoyed competing out there," said Bouie. "I think the coaches liked what I brought as well." Never a truer statement has been made Tyrone as the Lobo coaching staff has offered Tyrone Bouie an offer.

"I have eight solid offers including New Mexico," said Bouie. A check on the Scout.com database shows Tyrone Bouie being recruited by Purdue, Colorado State, UCF, Minnesota, and East Carolina.

For anyone waiting for a quick decision Bouie said, "I don't have any favorites as of yet, I'm still talking to the different staffs and when I find the place I'm most comfortable with it will be the right place for me."
