Tony Snell Commits

Lobos received a solid verbal commitment over the weekend. Go inside to hear Asst. Coach Marvin Lea talk about Tony Snell.

The University of New Mexico had a pair of visitors into Albuquerque this weekend. One came with all the pomp and excitement that made Lobo fans excited… The other Tony Snell 6-7 F/G came on an unofficial visit under the radar…

Which is exactly where it seems Westwind Prep Academy Tony Snell has spent his entire high school career… under the radar. I spoke with Westwind Prep's Asst. Coach Marvin Lea about Tony and he said, "Tony is a late bloomer who went from 6-3 to 6-7 in one year."

When doing a search on "Focus" (Coach Lea said, people call Tony ‘Focus') he was listed a center, but Coach Lea told me that while ‘Focus' can play all 4 positions he has been playing guard all along and he will be a forward/guard in college.
