NC State is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since the 2002 campaign, when the Wolfpack started out with a 9-0 mark.
For the sixth time in his career, Russell Wilson went over 300 yards passing, as he finished with 333 yards today. Today also marked the ninth time he threw three or more touchdowns in a game.
Moose for Six
Freshman tailback Mustafa Greene has now rushed for a touchdown in each of this first three career games. He's the first freshman to rush for a score in each of this first three games since Joe McIntosh did it in 1981.
In the first quarter, NC State had two 93-yard scoring drives on back-to-back possessions. It marked the first time since Nov. 11, 2003 that the Wolfpack had two 90-yard drives in the same game, much less in back-to-back drives. That 2003 contest was against Florida State and the Pack lost 50-44 in double overtime.
Mattes Back in Action
Sophomore R.J. Mattes saw his first action since October 31, 2009, in the first quarter when he came in at right tackle. Mattes is returning from an ACL injury.
Williams Receiving Yards
Senior wide receiver Jarvis Williams tallied 111 receiving yards on four catches, all in the first half. That mark is the second-highest of his career, and he now has three 100+ yard games for his career.
Underwood First Career Touchdown Reception
Curtis Underwood, Jr., scored on a 12-yard pass late in the second quarter, marking his first career touchdown reception.
Czajkowski Streak Ends
Josh Czajkowski missed the extra point on the third touchdown of the game, marking his first missed in 84 tries. His streak of 83 straight PATs is a school record.
