Call Him World Premier

NC State continues their search for South Florida talent. The latest to catch the Wolfpack's attention is linebacker Brouce Mompremier.

Brouce Mompremier is one of the top defensive prospects from talent rich Dade County in South Florida. Mompremier, 6-0 and 205 pounds, plays linebacker for Miami (Fla.) Edison High School.

"Brouce is a team leader and he is like having a coach on the field," Edison Head Coach Corey Bell said. "He is always on the attack. This kid is already to go and is a big time hitter. I think he could play inside or outside linebacker at the next level."

Last season as a junior, Mompremier recorded 118 tackles and 12.5 sacks. Teammates, friends and coaches call him world premier and after a season like that can you blame them?

"I am a sideline to sideline guy that has good football speed," Mompremier said. "I have lateral quickness, instincts and I am a big hitter."

In regards to recruiting, Mompremier is still waiting on his first scholarship offer. That should change very soon with the May Evaluation quickly approaching.

"I am looking at Miami, Florida State, Oregon, Oklahoma, Penn State, Maryland, NC State and others. I would prefer to stay close to home and find a team with lots of tradition and that wins."

Mompremier plans on attending the Nike Camp at Miami. He carries a 3.5 grade point average and has already scored a 20 ACT.
