Wilson Expects Great Atmosphere

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Quarterback Russell Wilson met with members of the media following Wednesday's practice to talk about NC State's upcoming game with East Carolina.

Russell Wilson Interview

"They are fast and athletic. They make plays. It should be a great game."

"I think they've been playing good teams. Despite the points, they've been doing a good job."

"It's definitely going to be a challenge for us. We're going to go out there and take it one game at a time."

"It should be a great game for us and a great game for them. It should be a great atmosphere."

"We consider every in-state [team] a rival, as a team, as a program. At the same time, it's another game on the list. It's the game in front of us, the most important game, and we've got to take full charge of it, attack it, and go out there and try to win."

"We've been doing a great job pass protecting and running the ball as well. You've got to credit the offensive line first, it all starts with them. The wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends have all done a great job of getting open and catching the football, the same with the fullback."

"There's a sense of urgency and energy out there, and we've got to keep pushing."

"We try to play with a fast tempo on offense, but at the same time try not to play too fast. Tempo is key in terms of getting into a flow or rhythm as an offense."

"As an offense, I think that we're used to it. We work on it a lot in practice, we play with a fast tempo."

"Plus, we have so many receivers who can come in and out and step into their roles."

"We've always done it, but we're more experienced for the most part and trying to find a way to have an advantage."

"It's going to be like any big-time road game. A hundred yards is a hundred yards. We've got to focus on what we need to focus on and play the game."

"The fact that we have so many guys who can rotate in is a plus for us."

"We focus on one thing at a time, one play at a time. If we've got to score 70 points to win then we need to score 70 points. If we've got to score seven then we've got to score seven points."
