Pack Held Scoreless In First Quarter

Pack Wins T.O.P. Battle
NC State has won the time of possession battle in every game this season and did so again against the Pirates. East Carolina tipped the battle in its favor early, as the Pirate offense was on the field 9:25 in the first quarter, but the Pack eventually regained the lead and held a 32:31-27:29 advantage at the end of the fourth quarter.

NC State ranked 13th nationally and led the conference heading into Saturday's game.

Wilson Goes for 300+ ... Again
Russell Wilson passed for 300 or more yards for the 10th time in his career and sixth time this season, racking up 322 through the air against the Pirates.

Spencer, Williams Move Up Record Book
Five receptions in Saturday's game moved Jarvis Williams into 12th- place all-time at NC State with 108 for his career, while Owen Spencer's six grabs now ranks 15th all-time with 99.

Pack Returns to Overtime
Saturday's game marked the first time that NC State has had a contest go into overtime since Sept. 20, 2008 --- also against East Carolina. NC State topped No. 15 ECU that day at Carter-Finley Stadium, 30-24, on a 10-yard Andre Brown run in the extra period.

Big Day For Wolff
Sophomore safety Earl Wolff was in on a lot of plays for the Wolfpack and made the most of the opportunities. Wolff paced State with 14 tackles, including six solo hits.

Cole Makes Plays
Junior linebacker Audie Cole also had a productive outing, as he accounted for nine tackles, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and a pass breakup.
