"First his experience and where he learned and the people he's been around. The fact that he loves to do what he does in terms of getting players better, getting that extra touchdown, trying to find an extra completion or whatever it is. He puts in the work every single day and he's a great coach."
"You never know what type of game it's going to be. Whatever type of game it is we're going to be prepared for it, whether it's high scoring or low scoring. There is going to be a lot of energy thought because it's a Thursday night game and plus it's ACC and in our division. It's exciting to be out there and playing at home."
"A little bit of both. Anxious to get back out just because I always want to get out and play the game. In terms of getting a break, it's definitely nice. It's exciting to come out and play a Thursday night game after the bye week."
"Definitely. Florida State runs really well. We do too. The key is just slowing down the game. Don't make it too fast. When we get out there just one play at a time. It's going to start off fast but there will be highs and lows throughout the game but we have to weather the storm."
"It's a huge game for us in our division. It's definitely something to look forward to."
"Right now it's the Giants against the Rangers, that's a tough one. I'd probably say the Rangers, the fact that they beat the Yankees and they have Cliff Lee pitching and Josh Hamilton."
"I reflected over the past week about things we did wrong and things we did right and it shows in the games that we won. Our team is more confident and we were ready to play those games more, in a mental aspect. We were always prepared but we came out better in the games we won. We started to lose it against ECU, I'm not sure why, but it just seemed different. After this week off we came back to practice and we're ready to go. Seems like we have that edge back."
"Everyone wants to go out and prove that we can still play and we're better than that."
"We've had two good days of practice. Enthusiasm is high and we're excited about the game this week. You can just tell in the atmosphere."
"Everyone just kind of does their own thing. I went hunting all of last week. We didn't have practice so I just went hunting. It was nice to just get out there and get away. The good thing about that is that you can sit there and reflect on the games before, I did a lot of that while I was out there. It helps, it's very soothing."
"This is a huge game. As coach always says, every game is the ACC Championship game. But this one, actually is, kind of. He always says it and it doesn't always register but everyone knows this is the most important game we've played in a while."
"If we can just take away some of [Ponder's] strengths and force him to throw the ball where he doesn't want to throw it. Take away his number one look and hope the defensive line time to get there. If you can do that then you start getting sacks and then people start making mistakes. That's what we're trying to do. Take away what he wants to do and make him do what we want him to do."
