PC: Rieskamp And Vermiglio Meet The Media

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jeff Rieskamp and Jake Vermiglio met with the media today to discuss the upcoming game against Wake Forest.

Jeff Rieskamp

"He's just a good guy. He's always got a smile on his face, always looking up. He takes the best out of every situation, you never see him down and to be able to be there and support means a lot to me."

"When you believe in the defense and you believe that everything they are saying is the thing to do then it's easy to run the defense and you get the job done. When we do we make plays and create turnovers."

"It's one of the top games. Their offensive line was pretty big and they played well. They had pretty aggressive running backs but we did a good job against them. Not good enough, but we played pretty good."

"I don't like North Carolina at all and it was funny. We were on the bus coming back and everyone is checking their phones on ESPN. Everybody couldn't' believe we were pulling for North Carolina to win."

"We prepared really well last week and I think if we prepare again like we did last week that we will be successful. Preparation is key."

"We still need to improve a whole lot to get where we want to be so until we do that we're not satisfied."

Jake Vermiglio

"We dodged a bullet, luckily UNC played a great game against Florida State and put us back in the same position. Now we just have to make sure we don't lose again."

"I can honestly say that is the first time I've rooted for UNC in anything. I hated having to root form them but someone had to do it but if it's them it's them."

"Every game from here on out is like the Super Bowl."

"Absolutely, it's the last game at Carter-Finley Stadium for me and all the seniors so we want to go out the right way."

"I think that was the toughest loss we've had just because knowing the position that we were in, losing in that position was tough."

"Our defense bailed us out and put us in position a bunch of times but we just didn't executed. We're going to work on it though and we'll be better."

"We're making mistakes, bottom line. But we're working on it and we'll continue to get better."
