NC State landed it's tenth verbal commitment for the class of 2011 on Monday when Snow College DE McKay Frandsen made his decision to commit to the Wolfpack.
At 6-3, 240 pounds, Frandsen tallied 53 tackles, nine tackles for loss, one sack and one fumble recovery for the Badgers in 2010. His effort this year came after an all-conference season as a freshman for Snow College.
Frandsen officially received his offer from NC State during his exit meeting with the coaches on Sunday morning. After mulling the decision on the flight home, Frandsen pulled the trigger on his commitment Monday morning.
"I didn't have an offer before the visit so I was wondering all weekend if they were going to offer," said Frandsen. "Then they told me during our meeting Sunday morning that they were offering. I thought about it on the plane ride back and then called coach Petercuskie this morning to let him know I was committing. I am just really excited to have the chance to play at a school like NC State."
Frandsen plans to enroll at NC State in January and will have three years to play two for the Pack. He chose the Wolfpack over interest from Arizona, Washington State, Utah State and Hawaii among others.
Stay tuned as Pack Pride will have much more on the Wolfpack's latest commitment.
