"I'm really proud of this football team. This was a tough assignment, coming over here and playing. This is a heck of an athletic football team. They have tremendous power and speed. Yates set a record against us but our kids hung in there and we grind."

"The defense made them kick field goals, which was huge. We put the defense in those terrible situations today. But they, as they have all year, have risen up and made plays. We're going to find a way to make something happen."

"We made enough plays to win the football game, that's the bottom line."

"We found a couple things that worked. It's the old adage, if you scratch something and it starts to bleed you have to make it hemorrhage. We stayed after it and got to him."

"This was a two for. We beat Carolina and we got the opportunity to play for the Atlantic Championship and if we do that then we're going to go play for the ACC Championship. This team has been very good week to week."

"We needed a score there. That was probably as key a play in this game. That gave everybody life and set up the fourth quarter for us. We played great in the fourth quarter."

"We've been waiting all year for TJ to do it, I'm glad he waited until today to show it off. He picked the right time to head on down the sideline."

"It's great. To start the year we were dead and gone, nobody expected us to be anywhere and these kids have fought week in and week out. They understand that if they keep putting the effort, we'll find a way to get this thing done."

"It was like a Hail Mary throw, that's what it ended up being. It was a prayer, and it was answered."

"It's great to win eight games. But the best thing about winning eight is you get a chance to win nine. We're not a satisfied football team at all."
