O'Brien a Finalist for Liberty Mutual COY

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State head football coach Tom O'Brien is one of 10 finalists for the 2010 Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award.

Wolfpack fans are encouraged to vote for O'Brien at www.coachoftheyear.com now through Dec. 28th.

O'Brien and his staff have stayed true to his formula for success throughout four seasons in Raleigh, and the 2010 Wolfpack finally began to reap the rewards. The team was ranked three times during the regular season, posted more wins than any NC State squad in the past eight years, won five conference games and came within one game of playing for the ACC title. O'Brien and the Pack will face West Virginia in the Champs Sports Bowl on Dec. 28.

The winning coach will be announced on Jan. 10, and will receive $50,000 to donate to a charity of his choice as well as a $20,000 grant to donate the school's alumni organization.
