1,000 Career Points
Boston College has two 1,000-point scorers on its active roster. Senior forward Corey Raji enters tonight's game with 1,100 points, while senior forward Joe Trapani enters with 1,104 points ... Raji registered his 1,000th career point in the Eagles' win over Indiana (Dec. 1). Raji reached the milestone on a field goal with 5:23 remaining in the first half ... Senior guard Biko Paris has scored in double figures nine times, including in eight of the last 11 games. He posted 18 points, four rebounds and three assists (no turnovers) in 28 minutes at South Carolina (Jan. 1) ... He has made 34 three-pointers this season, nearly equaling the three-point total of his first three seasons (36) ... Paris enjoyed a career day in the Eagles' 79-75 win at Maryland (Dec. 12). He scored a career-high 22 points, hitting a career-high eight field goals, including six three-point field goals. He shot an identical 4- for-6 from the field and 3-for-5 from three-point range in each half .. Paris followed that effort with an 18-point outing against Bryant (Dec. 19), shooting 6-for-9 from three-point range.
The Head Coach
Steve Donahue is in his first season as the head coach at Boston College. He has an 12-4 record as the Eagles' head coach and a 158-142 career record ... Donahue spent the last 10 seasons as the head coach at Cornell. He led the Big Red to three consecutive Ivy League titles (2008-10) and a trip to the 2010 NCAA Sweet 16.
During his tenure, Donahue totaled a 146-138 record. Cornell achieved the best Ivy record over the last five years (55-15) ... He coached and/or recruited seven of Cornell's top 13 all-time leading scorers, two Ivy League Rookie of the Year players, eight NABC All-District selections, six Academic All- District picks and two Academic All-Americans
Prior to assuming the head coaching job at Cornell, Donahue spent 10 seasons as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Fran Dunphy at the University of Pennsylvania.
