"I've committed to NC State," said Noel. "Coach Petercuskie came up today and I committed. I was actually thinking of doing it over the weekend, but I wanted to go home and talk to my mother about it. It's the best decision for me.
"I liked their whole campus and being with the players. They already felt like brothers to me and I felt like that is where I felt more comfortable."
Checking in at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Noel is being recruited to play safety at NC State. His brother, Jim, is a defensive back for Boston College, and Rodman is already looking forward to facing his brother on the gridiron.
"It's just going to be a battle with us being in the same conference," he said. "I'm pretty excited about that."
Noel signed with Maryland last February but failed to qualify academically. He enrolled at Milford Academy (NY) and re-committed to the Terps but has since eliminated Maryland and opened up his recruitment. He was scheduled to visit Mississippi State this weekend and potentially Miami later on but stated his recruitment is now over.
"I'm not taking anymore visits," said Noel. "I'm committed to NC State and done with it... now all I've got to do is get me a NC State hat for Signing Day."
Noel tallied 41 tackles, seven pass breakups, four interceptions, two blocked field goals, and an interception return for a touchdown this past season at Milford.
Pack Pride will have more on his decision in the near future so stay tuned!
