Bell's injury has limited his progress on the football field, but it's not stopped colleges from expressing heavy interest.
"Alot of schools are after me, but I'm looking at Michigan, N.C. State, UNC, Georgia, and Virginia," he said. "State's my only written offer and they did that around the second game of the season last year."
George was one of several recruits in attendance for the recent Spring Game held at Carter-Finley Stadium.
Did the game leave an impression on him?
"It was exciting," Bell said. "I got to meet a lot of the current players and some of their recruits coming in. I talked with TA McLendon and he said they could use another running back. I like State."
Because of his injury, George will not participate at the NIKE Camp on May 17th in Blacksburg, Virginia. However, he still may attend a couple of team camps this summer.
"I may go to Michigan's camp with my teammate, Jeff Bush, because I want to see the campus and meet the coaches," Bell explained. "I also might go to Tennessee's camp and State or Carolina's. I won't be able to work out at any of them, but I'll get to watch and visit the coaches."
At 5-foot-10 and 225 pounds, a healthy Bell is a legit top-5 prospect in North Carolina. Because of this when's it time to make a decision, playing time will be a major factor.
"I'll definitely look at where I'll be able to play early," George added. "The Michigan coaches told me that they need a big back, and I could play there right away. UNC told me the same thing, and at NC State there's TA McLendon. He's a good player, but if I went there I still think I could play early."
"I want to decide by my birthday, October 28th. If I know where I want to go by then, then I'll announce it."
