On Monday, Torian Graham, a 6-foot-4 wing who played this past season at Raleigh (N.C.) Word of God, gave Gottfried and his staff a verbal commitment.
"It's close to home and there was just something about it," Graham told Scout.com. "It's local and my family will be around. I can be close to my mom. She's sick and that's important to me."
Graham, a five-star prospect, said he received a call from the N.C. State staff the first day they were hired.
"That means a lot," Graham said. "They let me know I was one of their top priorities. Now it's over and I'm a part of the Wolfpack."
Graham joins four-star recruit and fellow North Carolina native Tyler Lewis to make up their current 2012 recruiting class.
"He's a close friend and more like a brother and he's real excited too," Graham said of Lewis.
Graham is ranked No. 25 overall in the 2012 class.
