NC State will currently have ten scholarship players this upcoming season following the signing of power forward Thomas De Thaey. Here is a closer look at next year's projected 2011-2012 roster and depth chart.

The Wolfpack now has three scholarships remaining and could use one on Alex Johnson, a point guard who is transferring from Cal State Bakersfield. Johnson visited the Wolfpack earlier this week but has not made a decision. Because Johnson has graduated, he can play right away and would have just one season of eligibility remaining.

Two 2012 prospects, point guard Tyler Lewis and shooting guard Torian Graham, are already in the fold, leaving the Wolfpack with two scholarships left to use on the 2012 recruiting class.

With four juniors on next year's team, NC State will have, at least, another four scholarships available for the 2013 recruiting class.

2011-2012 Projected NC State Roster
Here is an updated roster following the signing of Thomas De Thaey.

C.J. Williams G Sr. Jack Britt (Fayetteville, N.C.) 6-5/218
The Wolfpack's lone scholarship senior, Williams will be counted on next year. He must play major minutes at the shooting guard position, and he might have to backup Lorenzo Brown at point guard. Williams averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds last season.
Scott Wood G/F Jr. Marion (Marion, Ind.) 6-6/177
Wood has played small forward his entire career, but he will probably need to transition to shooting guard as a junior due to the Wolfpack's lack of backcourt depth. Can he handle it defensively? Wood led the team in minutes played last year (31.3), and he averaged 9.7 points and hit 42% of his 3-point attempts.
Jordan Vandenberg C Jr. Aust. Institute of Sport (Melbourne, Aust.) 7-1/248
Vandenberg started to earn minutes later in the year, providing energy off the bench. With Tracy Smith graduating, he could be in line for the starting job at center.
Richard Howell F Jr. Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) 6-8/261
Howell could really emerge for the Wolfpack during his junior campaign, as he was their most efficient player last season. Playing just 18 minutes a night, Howell averaged 7.4 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field. He should be able to contribute at power forward and center in Mark Gottfried's high post offense.
DeShawn Painter C Jr. Hargrave (Norfolk, Va.) 6-9/227
Like with Vandenberg, Painter has a tremendous opportunity in front of him following Smith's graduation. He showed signs of progressing when Smith was sidelined last year.
C.J. Leslie PF Soph. Word of God (Raleigh, N.C.) 6-8/206
Leslie was an All-ACC freshman team pick this past season for the Wolfpack, and his role should expand in 2011. He averaged 11.0 points and led the Wolfpack in rebounding (7.2) and blocked shots (1.3). Leslie could be asked to play more small forward as a sophomore.
Lorenzo Brown G Soph. Centennial (Roswell, Ga.) 6-5/186
Harrow's departure opens the door wide open for Lorenzo Brown to seize control of NC State's team. Harrow missed 2.5 games last year with an illness (Duke, UNC, and VT), and in those games Brown averaged 14.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. He will be the primary ballhandler from day one and could have a big sophomore campaign.
Tyler Harris F Fr. St. Benedict's (Long Island, N.Y.) 6-8/200
Harris is going to have to contribute next season for the Wolfpack, likely at both forward positions. A fundamentally sound player with a strong outside jumper, he should add some versatility off the bench.
Jaqawn Raymond G Fr. Statesboro (Statesboro, Ga.) 6-4/190
Raymond will be asked to play right away as a true freshman, providing depth in the backcourt. An athletic player, Raymond will likely back up the guard positions next year.
Thomas De Thaey PF Fr. Canarias Basketball Academy (Canary Islands) 6-8/235
NC State's latest signee, De Thaey impressed the Wolfpack coaches with his toughness, athleticism, and shooting ability. He will have a chance to develop this season, as the Pack has some frontcourt depth, but the coaches also believe he could contribute right away.
