Hooker Reflects on NC State Visit

Deep Run (NC) South Lenoir defensive tackle K'Hadree Hooker breaks down his recent visit to NC State.

Deep Run (NC) South Lenoir defensive tackle K'Hadree Hooker was at NC State over the weekend and he has a new favorite.

The three-star prospect spoke with Pack Pride on Sunday evening and enthusiastically recapped a trip to NC State that has helped him move a little bit closer to a decision.

The 6-2, 290-pound lineman is hoping to have that decision made by the start of the school year, though that's not set in stone, and if he does that then the Wolfpack would have to be considered to be in a good position.

"I was at their camp (last Friday) just watching everything," Hooker said. "I was basically talking to all the coaches. It was a good visit. They were saying I have a chance to come in and play early and help NC State win football games. My plan is to graduate early so I'd probably be able to do that.

"NC State is a school I'm very, very interested in. If I had to pick a top school right now it would be NC State. They're my number one."

Who else is in the mix?

"Right now I also like Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and even ECU because they're picking it up some," he said. "I was at ECU (on Sunday) and it went good. They were having a camp and I was just there visiting. Todd Gurley was there too."

Hooker said he has no further plans for the remainder of the summer but noted that he's sure there will be more trips before his decision.

"You can never tell what you want to do for sure because anything can change but hopefully I can be committed by the time football season starts. We'll just have to see," he said.

Hooker is a three-star prospect and the No. 36 defensive tackle in the nation according to Scout.
